Detroit’s Mike Posner performed at St. Andrews Hall on May 2nd. One of the perks I like about shooting a wide variety of shows is being exposed to music and artists at length – beyond just what I might hear on the radio. Honestly because I typically gravitate to hard rock I hadn’t given Mike Posner and his music much attention. My familiarity basically stops at his older Top 40 hits. Which l like – but I wasn’t really sure what to expect from a live show. Him and his Legendary band did not disappoint! High energy, great solos and stage chemistry from the band. Really fun to watch. Plus the light effects were stellar. Go see his band next chance you get! Now excuse me while I listen to ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ with the saxophone because it’s on loop in my head.
Here are my shots from the show which I took for Channel 955.
GEAR: I used my two Canon bodies and alternated between the Canon EF 24-105 f/4, and Canon 50mm f/1.4. Most of my photos were probably shot at 1/320 sec (with a variable ISO).
