John Legend performed at Meadow Brook Amphitheater June 16th.
I think photographing performers on their keyboard or piano can be frustrating. And usually, as a press credentialed photographer, options for moving around to a different spot for a better photo are very limited. There are very few camera angles that accurately capture what’s going on. Shoot the keys? Get the performers back. Snap pics of their face? Lose 1/2 their body behind the piano. However. This was not one of those nights – all shots from the side. Excellent!
