Avatar at The Fillmore

Freaky cool band, Avatar, performed for the first time in downtown Detroit at The Fillmore (April 26, 2017). I’ve seen photo galleries of these guys from summer concerts last year, but hadn’t really checked them out until this week, so I’m kicking myself for waiting so long because their music is freakin’ great. Awesome live, too. Avatar is the perfect blend of side show freakishness and death metal. I was fortunate enough to be able to be introduced to their music while on assignment for 106.7 The D, covering In This Moment.

Their song, ‘Hail The Apocalypse’ has been stuck in my head ever since.
